Testimonials

To,

The HDFC Bank CSR initiatives.
Krushi Vikas Va Gramin Prashikshan Sanstha, Malkapur.
Villagers of Chandikapur.
MPKV Rahuri and all Maharashtra government departments.

This is Osman Baig, Watershed Management consultant. KVVGPS has provided me this opportunity to visit your "Parivartan Community Development Program". Till date i have visited 3 clusters. And really liked the Participatory approach and efforts taken by you all. Since today afternoon I have been walking and seeing the various activities/ interventions with the iron lady, born social worker, humble human being named Deepali Mankar, her helping hand Somnath Jare.

(i). Water storage and treatment to remove/separate excessive salinity
(ii). Gobar gas units,
(iii). Drinking Water tanks and tap water in landless aadivasi community's habitation and all other activities.

And I am listening every word of this gem person, the strategies, policies and procedures adopted by HDFC Bank and KVVGPS right from selection to the completion of first years planned work. Each and every household we visited were talking with her very great fully and humbly. Everyone was requesting her to sit with them for a while, have a cup of tea. Asking about her health and family. And everyone was trying to tell me the efforts taken by all abovsaid stakeholders eagerly and enthusiastically. In the evening we had a gram sabha in dim light and I was consistently interacting more than two hours. In my 30 years experience in development sector today i met a real visinory, humble social worker who is deeply rooted with community. Friends if you want to see the humane behavior of development person, please come here, visit her and her family, the villagers of Chandikapur. I honestly tell you that I will give 100 out of 100 marks to your efforts. And I know if you can plan systematically and give her the freedom, this village can become a model villages.
Thanks.
Wish you all the best.

KV is a trusted partner of Eaton India Foundation. Over the years, KV has made a meaningful contribution, by transforming the lives and livelihoods of people in our drought affected partner communities. This was done by creating structures to prevent run off of rainwater, increase underground water table, create water storage structures at higher altitudes and training farmers and women in agriculture and livelihood initiatives. Farmers and women are now able to cultivate additional crops, initiate animal husbandry and pursue entrepreneurial activity. When villagers invest their own funds to adopt the innovations emerging from KV projects e.g. farm ponds in high altitude areas, and youth are choosing to stay back in villages and pursue farming, instead of migrating to cities, it speaks volumes of the impact of the work done by KV.

A year and a half ago, Munich Re India embarked on a transformative journey to empower 512 families in Nimbhere village, western India. Partnering with KrushiVikas NGO, we launched the “Jal KalJeevan” program, guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This initiative focused on four key areas: soil and water conservation, community development and livelihoods, education, and agriculture with animal husbandry.

Throughout the project, KrushiVikas has been actively engaged with the villagers on ground and helped us engage all our employees. Over 30 Munich Re India staff members participated in three volunteer engagement activities that enables us to directly communicate and work with the villagers with a major focus on soil and water conservation. This included the installation of 250 rainwater harvesting structures, along with the construction of gabion and LBS stone structures to promote water preservation. Recognizing the importance of women’s empowerment, With the help of KrushiVikas we were able to support women-led self-help groups and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), enabling them to improve livelihoods within the village.

We’re thrilled to announce that our partnership with KrushiVikas efforts have made a lasting impact on these families and future generations. We’re especially proud that KrushiVikas, our dedicated CSR partner, has been doing this outstanding work for decades and made changes in millions of lives. We believe they are the most impactful NGO we have worked with and is a testament to the success of the Jal KalJeevan project and this collaboration has helped us in creative positive change in the community.
